Explanation of the sociological framework of the pressure of satellite technology on the desire of family’s fertility

Abstract

There is no single and comprehensive definition of family that all experts agree on; At the same time, it is certain that the family is the smallest social unit. This small unit is also the strongest social unit. The strength of the family today is undergoing many changes, including technological changes. The virtual space has become the platform for the formation of a lot of changes in the family. Few families in the world, especially during the height of the corona disease, are left to interact with the virtual space platform. The current research is qualitative research that has investigated the ratio of Iranian families' willingness to have children in the post-corona era with virtual space using the discourse analysis method. The main basis of analysis in this research is to pay attention to the issue of "discourse" in the context of the family, and the transformation in the family discourse actually means the transformation in the structures, functions and laws of the family; The most important discourses emphasized in this research are the "Iranian-Islamic family" discourse as the base discourse, and the "Western family" discourse as the influential discourse on the base discourse. The results show that three discourses of traditional family, passive user family and active user family can be identified
